There are major physical changes that girls can expect during puberty, including:
breast growth:

menstrual periods:
- Most girls get their first period within 2-3 years after the development of breast buds.

Height increase:
- The rate of height growth in girls increases between the onset of breast bud development and about 6 months before the onset of menstruation.
- Once a girl enters her first menstrual period, her growth begins to slow.
