Systemic lupus erythematosus in non-responders to prednisone and immunosuppressants can be treated as follows:
- Methyl Prednisone: Additional treatment with 1 g prednisone gives intravenously 500 ml saline within 4 hours for three consecutive days of the patient may be useful.
Anticoagulants: may be prescribed to patients with lupus or cardiouleben antibodies and who have anticoagulants.
- Danazole: 400 600 mg daily benefit some patients.
