The role of good sterilization:

The key to good sterilization:
In dental clinics, hygiene and cleanliness is essential to give good attention to patients and to prevent any health problems, both for the client and for specialists. Therefore, the most advanced technologies in the sector aim to solve these requirements, which must also strictly comply with health regulations.
Autoclaves are another companion in the daily life of dental clinics.
These types of devices, which are responsible for sterilizing, work with steam, are resistant and have an autoclave seal, which contains a liquid, which is usually water, and which is subjected to high temperatures, but without boiling.
In this sense, the regulations are strict with the sterilization and hygiene of dental clinics that must sterilize dental utensils at 134ยบ in periods between 20 and 30 minutes, as well as respect the autoclave provided by the manufacturer.
It should not be forgotten that to discharge a dental clinic, the disinfection and sterilization protocol must be followed to ensure the safety and prevention of infections derived from health care. The procedure and materials used during sterilization must also be specified. If sterilization will be carried out by own means, the established recommendations should be specified.

Types of sterilizers in dentistry:
Autoclaves must comply with the biosafety regulations established in Legislative Decree number 81 of 2008. Knowing which autoclave is the best and most appropriate for a dental clinic will depend on the requirements of each one, but they must always respond to the requirements that mark UNI EN 285. Autoclaves can be of three types and adapt to different functionalities.

● Class N autoclave
It is characterized by smaller dimensions and serves to sterilize simpler material. The N refers to dissolved solid products. So this autoclave does not allow us to sterilize textile materials, porous fillers, hollow bodies, bagged products, etc. Nor does it guarantee steam penetration.

● Class B autoclave
They are small in size but have benefits that could be compared to those of hospital facilities. Letter B refers to small but large sterilizers. They allow sterilizing any type of cargo such as porous materials, bagging, textiles and hollow bodies, such as instruments, turbines and cannulas. It is the most used in dental clinics for its ergonomics, energy savings and its simplest use.

● S-class autoclave
It refers to the rest of autoclaves, of the intermediate class between N and B, specifically. The benefits are determined by the designer and the manufacturer based on the specific tests.

The sterilization cycle:
WHO, like the International Dental Federation and the Center for Disease Control, require disinfection and sterilization protocols to avoid any risk related to the instruments of the clinics, since it is necessary to prevent the transmission of infectious diseases.

The procedure for sterilization follows a series of steps:
- Disinfection. All instruments are immersed in disinfectant solution.
- Cleaning Dirt is removed from the instrument.
- Drying It is done with hot air and in the cabinets to prevent corrosion of the material.
- Packaging. The material is kept in sterile conditions for a long time.
- Sterilization. It is the most important because microorganisms are destroyed. It is achieved by autoclave.
- Sterilization check. It is checked that the sterilization process was successful.
- Storage. All instruments are stored in a dry place so that they do not break or become contaminated.

Sterilization safety with Mocom:
Safety in the dental sterilization process is achieved with a quality autoclave. Mocom offers different options to guarantee 100% security.

Currently it has three sterilizers on the market:
● Mocom Autoclave - B Futura
It is one of the most demanded of Mocom, thanks to all its features. It is available in 17, 22 and 28 liters. Its benefits include its speed, it is more secure and technological, which also has a touch screen. The future B carries out the entire sanitation process: decontamination, washing, disinfection, drying, packaging, sterilization and conservation. The B Futura is designed to make the selection and execution of the cycles more immediate thanks to the ‘user friendly’ system.

● Mocom Autoclave - B Classic
Thanks to research, the B Classic can be considered as the ideal option for fast and reliable sterilizations. Among its features, it stands out that it is efficient, functional and simple. The Classic B allows a more controlled, more traceable monitoring, as it has a PIN to identify the operators that have intervened in the cycle, and solidity, as it is made of electropolished stainless steel.

● Mocom Autoclave - S Classic
The S Classic brings together two aspects such as technological vanguard and simplicity of use. Among its features are the water discharge and loading device, because they have large doors. Also its quick connection system and can be equipped with external printing. It has version for 17 and 22 liters.
